We invited our clients to a Lunch & Learn event that we hosted for CNPP at our office on May 2, 2023. We sent out an email blast to remind them of the opportunity. One of our existing clients and his wife received the email the night before and decided to sign up, since they had nothing planned for the next morning. The client was retired, had sold his last chain store several years ago, and was bored at home. He was considering coming out of retirement but was unsure about doing so. The client and his wife attended Lunch & Learn and jokingly told us that he was dragged there by his wife. We laughed along with them.

The meeting began and our attorney Sheetal Desai started talking about the importance of having an Operating Agreement and the problems that arise from not having one. This caught Mr. Patel’s attention. He thought about his previous business transactions and how he could have avoided a lot of problems if he had a formal operating agreement. He had a long-standing relationship with a previous business partner that went sour at some point and resulted in costly and time-consuming litigation. After learning what he did at Lunch & Learn, he realized that a formal operating agreement could have prevented the litigation. He decided to use one for his future ventures.

He contacted TTL to engage them for the preparation of a new operating agreement, as he wanted to come out of retirement and start a new business. The client was very happy and satisfied with the services provided by CNPP. He shared his experience with his friends and family.
